GERARDO URDANETA
30 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY
Gerardo Urdaneta brings over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, covering multiple areas of the commodities supply chain from production and manufacturing to shipping, trading and brokering.
Gerardo has held positions such as head of operations for petrochemicals plants and refineries at PDAVSA, VP of Logistic and Shipping Operations and LNG Trader for Citigroup. Subsequently Gerardo has also worked at GFI, a leading brokering house in the UK, establishing their physical LNG trading platform for spot markets and mid to long-term deal structures.
Further, Gerardo has worked in multiple countries, covering commodities such as petrochemical, coal, natural gas, crude oil, oil products and iron ore in a multicultural and diverse work environment.
RODNEY WALSH
2 DECADES OF EXPERIENCE IN THE ENERGY INDUSTRY
Rodney Walsh has over two decades of experience in the energy industry, covering natural gas, power and coal, leading commercial teams throughout Europe.
Rodney has a proven track-record of devising trading strategies and delivering profitable results, having undertaken roles such as Complex Gas Hedging manager at RWE in the UK, Head of Business Development at Tristar in Ukraine and Gas Trader at Centrica Storage.
Rodney has an extensive network of gas traders across Europe and brings a comprehensive knowledge of European gas and power analytics, risk management and trading strategy implementation.
IULIAN SOVA
DECADE OF EXPERIENCE IN THE GAS AND POWER INDUSTRY
Iulian Sova has over a decade of experience in the gas and power industry, mainly in natural gas and power trading and quantitative analytics.
Iulian has a proven track record in algorithmic trading, market analytics and capacity forecasting for asset-backed trading, having undertaken Gas Portfolio Manager and Power Trader roles at EDF responsible for short term portfolio optimization, power procurement and hedging and Quantitative Manager at Centrica Storage responsible for asset capacity forecasting and sales.
Iulian brings an in-depth knowledge and proven track record of natural gas and power trading risk management and optimization.
