Hydrogen energy is an alternative to fossil-based energy. The key benefit of hydrogen energy is that it enables CO2 emission to be captured at source rather than at the demand centers. SPI is concerned with developing blue and green hydrogen projects as these sources of energy have been labelled as “clean” by the European Union. SPI is in the initial stages of developing a blue hydrogen project in West Africa.
